PvP Rules....Please Read  Reply with quote

These are the Rules you must use as guidance when confronting players in Lords of Middle Earth.

--------
All Red and Orange Territories (example Bree & Dol Guldur) have being designated as Newbie Friendly.. Starter towns (Bree and Dol Guldur), there will be no raids nor attacks unless by dm'd event or a posted dm approved guild war. I expect every player to be extraordinary friendly to new players – If I catch you being a hard @$$ to a level 10 under, I will Ban your @$$!
--------

This is important because it will help people from being angry about PvP situations and accept them as any other creature in game.

Remember that you MUST play into your roles. Sometimes people play both Good and Evil characters.....just play into that character and have fun. The world is very dynamic and lots of variety in levels of players. When confrontations happen PvP will be enevitable and that is actually a good thing. Fun and challenging.

Good practice.....unarm yourself and announce your intentions when not in a war like scenario. Use good judgement and realize that player may be out to get you. When in doubt.....leave.

1) You may not attack another player without mutual agreement. This means both parties agree to partake in PvP. Get a screenshot of both of you saying something to the effect of "I agree to a PvP" to cover any disputes afterwards.

You may attack and/or defend yourself if the other player is hostile towards you. This is defined as the following:

1a) A character is in a hostile situation and is warned 3 times to leave. If the character does not, it IS considered a hostile action and can be PvP.

1b) Player attacks....well duh.

1c) An agreed upon and set Guild War is happening. Which means a party or more are involved in attacking a Major City (Not a place for dialogue). This don't mean you just decide to attack a city that day, speaking of agreed upon wars with a set day/time....

2) If you disarm a Player in combat that weapon is a prize of war. Ouch....but yes. Who so gives that weapon back WILL earn XP and Gold from a DM. Screenshot the sequence and both parties will be asked.

3) There will be NO Shout channels used for revenge or banter. Use the Tell feature and be professional.

4) If there is a PvP complaint about a situation then screenshot it (if possible) and notify a DM. We will take care of it right away.

The rules above are simple and have been here for along time... Going to make it even easier... Ask them if they want to pvp, if they say yes then have fun. But if they say no then leave them alone in game aswell as in tells... Some like to pvp thats fine, find others that do and kill away... Some don't like pvp and noone here is going to make them pvp. God help the one I get a Screen Shot of or catch harassing another player... First time will ban you for a week. There is no second time, your gone...

Bree and Dol Guldur are starter towns and usually only lower lv's hanging out in them cause they can't survive elsewhere yet.. Attacking Bree over and over is a military waste of time.. And only done to provoke, and does nothing but start trouble..... Goods and evils riding into starter towns usually does nothing but catch new or lower lv players who stand no chance vs. the invading 40th lv's,,,,, So...

Bree and Dol Guldur are off limits except by dm'd event or a planned and set guild war (both guilds set a day/time for it)... This also is'nt a debate, this is how it is.
