Old Lome to 1.69...

Old Lome to 1.69...  Reply with quote  

Already loaded the mod up for some testing in 1.69... I don't forsee any mass work... Came right up and no probs with the running systems... Have to remove here and so on but not really forseeing any major issues bringing old lome up to 1.69.... Will be updating the running server to 1.69 tommorrow and testing/fixing all day and night if need be.... Go ahead and run 1.68 for now... Use your update utility or if you want to be ready for some of you with slower internet visit,

,now and dl the update patch... Will be up in 1.69 tommorrow for further testing and seeing what all else I need to do to bring old lome to 1.69 for everyone... Post any issues you see or run into for 1.69 here if im not online... Will try to make this as smooth as possible....

I updated to 1.69 and CEP 2.1c and played on LOME without encountering any problems.

Oh, by the way ... I heard (from a very knowledgeable server administrator) that a recompile in the toolset will *not* automatically recompile every last script in the module.

So if there are any scripts that use changed functions (e.g. the one about greatsword), the admin should probably ferret out where they are (e.g. by using Norton Commander on the compiled module and noting down where the occurrences are) and then go in and recompile those scripts by hand.

Just my 2 cents.

Got old lome updated to 1.69 and cep 2.1... Already got the new horses fixed and working aswell.... Just got done testing them and there working great..... Have an issue with ONE and only ONE script in old lome that I will work out later today or tommorrow... By this time tommorrow you will be playing with and riding the new horses/war horses/jousting horses/so on... Just have to completly remove the old horses and replace them for further testing with the new... After that will script in for you to buy them so on but in a dayish they will be free and waiting in major starting towns for everyone to get used to and play with... Welcome to old lome upgraded to 1.69/cep 2.1!!! Still much to do but everyone can full upgrade to 1.69 and cep 2.1.... Will get back later tonight and post links and such for anyone who don't already know where to get the updates.... Tommorrow afternoon will be new horses so on fully updated.... See ya there......

The server is currently down as we update the server computer to 1.69 Stand alone and Cep 2.1c. This should be finished within the next few hours of this post and then we will be up and running with Full 1.69 and Full Cep 2.1. I will post here when it is done, but go ahead and start patching Cep 2.1 if you havent allready. WE WILL BE UP AND RUNNING TONIGHT as long as the world doesnt end as we know it... Twisted Evil

Well the World must have ended for Voodoo, or he encountered a bug that needed to be fixed before sending me the updated mod. Hopefully we will be up and running tonight. I have to work all day and wont be back home til tonight to check my email and load up the new mod.

No bugs, just got home much later than planned, the mod is updated to 1.69/cep 2.1c and sending it now... Everyone will be able to check out the new horses tonight... Right now the horses are placed in Bree and in Dol Guldur and cost nothing,,, play with them and will script them in to be bought and all after making sure there are no issues with any of them...

Err ... something noticed by Heimdal struck me: new characters (i.e. characters macde after the update to 1.69) get the "ride horse" feat for free. Pre-1.69 characters don't have it.

Do they need that feat to ride horses? Same question for "horse riding skills".

When logging in after a day, all my characters were completely exhausted, parched, and famished. For some reason logging out hadn't stopped the timers.

Still some fixes and things to work on going 1.69/2.1c.... There will be no player vault wipe, well kinda... But all still depends on the horse issue, going to play with them some but thinking we will stick with Olander's OHO and mabey more horse appearances but the same system and control for the horses (no radial = good I think)... Plus i've seen all the horses and the animations on O's horses are smoother and better than the new ones by far... But one way or the other if a player vault wipe is needed the dm's will have the old vault and will rebuild/relevel your characters gear and all. Noone is going to lose a single xp or gp of the work they have done... Give it a few days and let me see what I can do.....
